The Yashica T-Zoom is a compact 35mm film camera equipped with a 28–70mm f/4.5–8 Tessar lens designed by Carl Zeiss, featuring a 4-element, 4-group optical construction. Autofocus is active infrared with manual focus override available. Exposure is fully automatic, with programmed AE and a built-in flash offering several modes including red-eye reduction. The camera uses a real-image zoom viewfinder with frame lines and parallax correction marks. Film transport is motorized for both advance and rewind, and ISO is set automatically via DX coding from ISO 50 to 3200. The body is constructed from plastic with a sliding lens cover for protection.
